To set the captives free
And on any given day that could be me
Being delivered from that very thing that had me shackled
To one spot
And the flame is no longer hot
So now
I dance…
For my deliverance
Only then can I supply true worship
Uncensored and unrestrained
He has released the chains and eased the pains
And now
I dance…
Freely moving my body
Not to the beat of a song but to the joy in my heart
A crying out is where it starts and
Sparks fly and
The flame resumes its hotness
Because of His worthiness as
I dance…
It becomes just me and Him alone in our little zone
I no longer control movements in which I spent
Countless hours preparing for
The door opens more and more
And I soar to a new level in Him as
I dance…
Every movement sends a message about my love for Him
I worship Him in spirit and in truth
A living testimony to the old and the youth
Full of reverence
all in His name. Offering deliverance
To souls longing for freedom
To fulfill their purpose for His Kingdom so
I dance…
With every intention of pleasing Him
To be able to connect with Him
On another level
Showing the devil
That I dance to the beat of another drummer
I strive for the one He wants me to be so I can become her
He is the maestro of my life as
I dance…
It’s never about me , it’s for His glory
So He prepares me for such a time as this

He is real and He does exist
Which is why my praise consists
of all that I am when

It reflects where he’s brought me from
My heart cries “Come Holy Spirit Come!!!”
Fill me until I overflow with you
Oh only if they knew what it means to be taken over by you
To the point of no return
Where the fire continues to burn and
You yearn for more but somehow it is never enough
You just can’t get enough of Him in you so
I dance…
With a heart after God
Just me and Him without the facade
No barriers hindering my undignified praise
With hands raised towards heaven
I dance…
As if this one will be my last
There is no room for living in the past
I am moving forward towards the mark
In His presence is where I park
Under His light
Praying that I am pleasing in His sight
When I dance!
